Extended auths and multi-capture (90-day)
For merchants who handle pre-orders, backorders, or extended and partial fulfillment, Truemed now supports extended auth windows. This practice exists for many e-commerce merchants already, and the Truemed payment method now gives merchants 30 days by default, and up to 90 days for pre-orders and backorders. Manual delayed capture guide.
Shopify Collections
Shopify merchants can now create HSA/FSA-eligible product collections automatically, making it easy to power dedicated HSA/FSA landing pages and storefront sections in minutes. Merchants can generate collections from Truemed eligibility without manually tagging each SKU. For all merchants using the Truemed Extensions app (and anyone who installs it going forward), generate collections from Truemed eligibility metafields automatically synced into Shopify to create an always-up-to-date collection with ease. Whether creating an HSA/FSA campaign for end-of-year promotion, or a permanent landing page for traffic from Truemed’s marketplace, dynamic HSA/FSA collections just became easy with Truemed. Improved documentation
We launched a new docs site (if you’re here, you’re looking at it!). Merchants can now find info on setup, marketing, API endpoints, and release notes all in one spot, with our new UI/UX theme that we’re rolling out across our merchant product surfaces. If you have feedback or are looking for more info, please reach out to us at merchants@truemed.com. Start with the checkout guide.
Disputes dashboard and API
Merchants can now see and respond to disputes without leaving Truemed, instead of waiting on dispute support from our operations team. The new Disputes tab in your merchant dashboard lists every dispute attributed to your account with amount, reason, status, and response deadline. Open one to upload evidence (shipping confirmation, customer communication, fulfillment proof) directly, supported by Truemed’s guidance on best practices to win a dispute.
Tokenized cards
Tokenized cards make repeat purchases faster by securely saving a shopper’s payment method after their first Truemed checkout. Shoppers can opt in to save HSA/FSA and personal cards through Stripe tokenization, then manage saved cards in their Truemed account. Returning shoppers can select a saved card and check out with fewer steps in the future. The result is less reentry, lower friction at checkout, and a smoother experience for shoppers.
New logged-in consumer home
Shoppers now have a completely redesigned user portal, with a recommended products carousel and their orders and records all in one place. This gives shoppers who are seeing Truemed.com for the first time a glimpse into the breadth of the marketplace. It also simplifies the shopping journey with Truemed, whether it’s a shopper’s first or repeat purchase. Shoppers logging into Truemed from post-purchase emails will have a clearer path to downloading their LMN and browsing additional products that can improve their health.
Revamped PDP modal
We’ve redesigned the product detail page (PDP) modal to deliver a faster, cleaner checkout experience. We built a simplified layout that reduces visual noise and improves clarity at a glance. The new PDP modal has tighter spacing and a more efficient information hierarchy so shoppers can complete the flow without scrolling. Lastly, we tweaked copy to focus more on conversion with a sharper CTA that emphasizes value: “Pay with HSA/FSA and save”.
A clearer health survey
The best consumer experiences in telehealth are clear and easy to understand. To improve our intake survey, we simplified our helper text throughout the survey and optimized the calls to action while maintaining our high bar for clinical and legal accuracy. Learn more about Truemed’s survey here.
Google Sign-In option for consumers
More than 60% of shoppers on Truemed.com have a Gmail address. We launched Google Sign-In for existing users right from truemed.com/login, while Email/OTP login still works for anyone who prefers it. This enables returning users to sign in with two clicks, instead of switching tabs to enter their OTP code.
Reconciliation API
Reconciliation data that used to live only in the payments export is now available via the API. We built it to end the wait on CSV reports, so merchants can sync settlement straight into their ERP and close their books on their own schedule. Start with the reconciliation guide to learn more.

Developer dashboard
Stand up a Truemed integration without a support ticket: create API keys, manage webhook endpoints, and rotate credentials yourself. Find it all under Settings → Developers. Webhooks guide.

Typeahead to select diagnoses
Consumers can find relevant diagnoses without scrolling in the health intake. Search is flexible, with synonyms and fuzzy matching, to meet consumers where they are in their health journey and help them match previous diagnoses to clinical requirements.

Checkout refresh
The Truemed checkout is redesigned end to end for consumer clarity and confidence: a step-by-step progress indicator, refreshed visuals, and a cancel flow that reminds consumers they are leaving up to 30% in HSA/FSA savings behind. Live as the default for every merchant, with nothing to configure.

Automated Shopify product sync
Catalog items from your Shopify store sync to Truemed automatically once you install the app extension, and stay current as you add or edit them. Replaces the CSV upload flow that went stale between exports and let outdated eligibility reach checkout. Always in sync while you manage your Shopify catalog. Shopify Payment App guide.
Extended authorization (30-day)
Get paid on orders you can’t ship right away. Authorizations now hold for up to 30 days, so pre-orders, made-to-order items, and subscription shipments stop expiring before you capture. Authorize the consumer at checkout, capture when you fulfill. Manual delayed capture guide.

Cart details at checkout
Consumers see which cart items may qualify for HSA/FSA spending while they pay, with eligible and ineligible subtotals inline. Consumers want confidence and clarity at checkout, whether splitting payment between HSA/FSA or using a personal card and reimbursing later.

Marketplace refresh
We rebuilt the Truemed Marketplace on a new content platform: refreshed design, cleaner navigation, faster browsing, and content that updates in real time. Discovery is sharper where it counts, since every item is checked for HSA/FSA eligibility, so shoppers find items that may qualify for HSA/FSA spending, not just keyword matches. Brands get more ways to stand out too, with product ordering, catalog priority, new promotional placements, and an affiliate program that turns partners into demand. All of it reaches shoppers already spending pre-tax dollars, something a general marketplace can’t replicate.
Product Catalog API
Manage your product catalog on Truemed straight from the API: create catalog items, check their eligibility, and update them as your business changes. Reach for it to query item eligibility and build eligibility-aware experiences without waiting on webhook backfill. Start with the Product Catalog guide.

Apple Pay and Stripe Link
Fewer taps mean fewer drop-offs at payment. API merchants can now offer Apple Pay and Stripe Link at the Truemed payment step, so buyers check out with a saved wallet instead of typing card details on their phone. No extra integration work, live for API merchants. Read more in the Payments overview.
Risk factor support
In the health survey, shoppers pick from a short list of relevant risk factors instead of answering free-text questions. Those structured answers become a standardized medical-necessity basis in the LMN, more defensible in TPA review with fewer denials on prevention-category purchases. It applies automatically where clinically appropriate.
